tightness in throat when thinking about suicide
ive always wondered about this… when i think about killing myself or about hopelessness in general, i get this tightness or uncomfortable sensation in my throat, right below the adams apple and above the sternum… does anyone else ever feel this?

your body will tighten up if put in fearful situations.
thinking of death/the unknown scares you.

Bingo. It’s an emotional response to sadness, anxiety, depression etc.
I’ve had that same feeling but for a different reason. It’s caused by fear and/or anxiety.
